The building is one of the older buildings in the vicinity of Omonoia Square in the center of Athens and already indicated in the 1860 Emm. Kalergis Master-Plan of Athens. In a 1930 picture the building appears in its present form. The building consists a typical sample of Athenian Neoclassicism attributed to the architect Lysandros Kaytatzglou. It is listed as a “work of Art” from the Greek Ministry of Culture.
The aim of the project is the complete restoration of the building and refurbishment to current functional standards.
